The 24 Hour Cancer Dance-A-Thon Kick Off Week is officially here. Starting next Tuesday, September 15, and running through Thursday, October, 1, we will be at all the area hot spots registering people and accepting donations for the 2010 Dance-A-Thon.
This year we are trying to raise more money than ever. To get things going, we need your help. When you show up at your favorite venue, make sure that you stop by the Dance-A-Thon table to get all the latest information, see how you can participate, learn new ways to raise money and register early for the event. The earlier we start raising money, the more successful we can be. Start raising money today!

Kick Off Week 2010 is starting out with a bang! Come out on Tuesday September 15 to Atomic Ballroom for a great night of dancing and get registered for the 2010 Dance-A-Thon.
As the week gets into full swing, so does Kick Off Week! The Dance-A-Thon team will be at The Southland Strutters Ball in Orange on Wednesday September 16 for an awesome night of vintage music and dancing. There is no time like now to start your fund raising efforts. Get some new fund raising ideas from the Dance-A-Thon booth and don’t forget to register!
Atomic Ballroom is helping out the Dance-A-Thon again by hosting another fundraising evening at their wildly successful Friday night even, Big Band Friday nights. Come out Friday September 18th and get registered for the Dance-A-Thon and dance the night away to great music, and great friends. Friday will also host the first in the series of the 24 Hour Cancer Dance-A-Thon contest.
The Kick Off Week continues on the Pasadena, CA at Third Saturday Swing. Ben and Sheri Yau, hosts of Third Saturday Swing, are opening their doors to all Dance-A-Thon participants and allowing us to register people early for the event. Join us for a great night of dancing with free snacks, free lesson, door prizes and great parking!
Riverside!!! We love all you Riverside dancers! Every year the dance crew from Riverside has been wildly supportive of the Dance-A-Thon, and this year is no different. Come out to Coffee Depot on Monday September 21 for a great night of dancing—to a LIVE BAND! Yes, that is right, Coffee Depot is hosting a live band!! It will be a great night for sure. Don’t forget to stop by the Dance-A-Thon booth and register. We’ve got tons of new fund raising ideas!
Rusty Frank has helped out with the Dance-A-Thon since the very beginning, and we are happy to have her hosting a Kick Off Week night! On Wednesday, September 23 the Dance-A-Thon team will be at Rusty’s Rhythm Club in Playa Del Rey to help you register early and get some new fund raising ideas. You can host a bake sale or organize a garage sale and donate all the proceeds to the Dance-A-Thon.
2toGroove is rallying all of San Diego together to support the Dance-A-Thon. If you live in San Diego or are up for a road trip, make sure to pop into “the JAM” on Friday night, September 25 for the Dance-A-Thon Kick Off party! There you will discover new ideas to raise funds and have an opportunity to register for this year’s event.
Kick Off Week 2010 ends with a bang! Sunday, September 27th we are heading out to The Historic Oviatt Building in Los Angeles for a night of glitz and glamour at Maxwell Demille’s Cicada Club. Make sure to visit the Dance-A-Thon booth to register and get new ideas for fund raising.
Come out Thursday October 1 for the final night of Kick Off Week 2010. Our friends over at Lindy Groove have generously opened their doors to host the final night of our early registration. Located in Pasadena, CA, Lindy Groove is one of THE top dance spots in the country.
