I am thrilled to introduce Ben & Sheri Yau! Ben & Sheri have been dancing, competing and teaching around the world since 1999. These two bring joy and positivity and lots of energy to the dance floor, whether they’re helping you break down a new dance move or kickin’ it up at Third Saturday Swing. [...]
World Renown Instruction
Every year the Dance-A-Thon is proud to have a teaching group that is second to none. All of the dance instructors volunteer their time and include World Lindy Hop Champions, International Balboa Instructors, and the fabulous local instructors who make the Orange County Dance Scene the best in the country. Please revisit this page often as we are continually adding instructors to the lineup.

I am pleased to welcome to the 24 hour Cancer Dance-a-thon Jean Ma and Bromley Palomountain. This dynamic duo competes and teaches in the Bay area, having first met at UC Berkeley. Jean had a strong background in dance, while Bromley was a gymnastic competitor. They bonded over their love of swing dancing and have [...]
It is with great pleasure that I introduce Mikey Pedroza. Mikey has been swing dancing since he was 13 years old, masquerading as a student by day and transforming into a swing dancer by night. In his career as a Lindy Hopper and teacher, he brings an unmistakable passion for dance that can’t be missed. [...]
It is with great pleasure that I introduce the fabulous Nikki Marvin. Nikki is a Lindy Hopper, teacher, wife, mother, and, along with Shesha, a founder of the 24 Hour Cancer Dance-a-thon (which I think makes her Mrs. Grand Poobah). This busy lady is also co-owner of the ATOMIC Ballroom, a member of the dance [...]
I am pleased to introduce Shesha Marvin. Shesha is the seer of all seers, the prognosticators of all prognosticators…no, wait, that’s the groundhog…but he, along with his lovely wife, Nikki, is the Grand Poobah, the creator and organizer of the 24 Hour Cancer Dance-a-thon.
I participated in the 24 Hour Cancer Dance-a-thon for the first [...]
It is with great pleasure that I introduce Carla Heiney. I met Carla when we both lived in Pennsylvania many moons ago, and, to this day, my former dance partner and I still talk about watching Carla dance. Carla is a world-renowned Lindy Hopper, dance instructor, and choreographer. She was most recently featured on the [...]
