RUSH WEEK is in full swing! It’s time for every dancer to pledge a team and help join the 24 Hour Cancer Dance-a-thon in supporting the City of Hope. The sooner you join a team, the sooner you can all work together together for a little friendly competition to see which team can raise the most money this year. And, we still don’t have a winner yet in our competition to see which team can fill all their spots first. Remember, the first team to fill all 29 spaces on their roster will be awarded the honor of being the first team to choose an available space on the floor!
Just in case you’ve forgotten, here are the dance locations that are hosting RUSH WEEK:
Wednesday, February 3 – Rusty’s Rhythm Club, The Firehouse (San Diego), Strutters’ Ball
Thursday, February 4 – Lindygroove
Friday, February 5 – The Jam (San Diego), ATOMIC Ballroom
Saturday, February 6 – PBDA, 1st Saturday Swing at Top Cats (in Placentia)
Sunday, February 7 – ATOMIC Ballroom (free swing and soul party /fundraiser meeting 7pm)
To wrap up RUSH week, we are hosting a FREE (that’s right, folks, free!)swing and soul dance/fundraiser meeting at ATOMIC Ballroom in Irivine on Sunday, FEBRUARY 7 at 7pm. ATOMIC is thrilled to announce that Mr. Mikey Pedroza, famous Soul dancer and DJ, will be spinning tunes to keep you movin’ and groovin’ all night long. And, since it’s Super Bowl Sunday, ATOMIC will be televising the big game, so feel free to bring your Super Bowl party to the dance floor. Or, just start your week off right and dance the night away at ATOMIC for a good cause. Also, please note that this will be the last dance hosted for the Dance-a-thon before we all gather together to dance for the City of Hope.
You can use this opportunity to coordinate with your team, talk to the Dance-a-thon organizers, share your ideas with other teams, and just have a swingin’ good time.
Remember, the Dance-a-thon is fast approaching. The sooner you join a team, the sooner you can work together to make this the most successful event we’ve ever had!
