The Swingsations will play at the 24 Hour Cancer Dance-a-thon
We are pleased to announce that the Swingsations will be playing during the Lindy Hop for Hope, which takes place on March 13-14 2010. The Swingsations have been added to our already impressive roster of bands that will keep you swingin’ all night and all day long during the 24 hour cancer dance-a-thon.
The Swingsations were formed in 1995 and are led by trumpeter and lead vocalist Jim Ziegler. The Swingsations repertoire starts with the classic jazz and Dixieland tunes that identify the sound of the 1920s and continues all the way through the swing music of the 1940s, touching on everything in between. The band is comprised of members Phil Krawzak on tenor saxophone and clarinet; Tom Hynes on guitar; Lee “Westy” Westenhofer on string bass and vocals; and Bryan Taylor on drums.
